First Jad task

Title pretty much says it. I know I can do it, but I dont know how or what to use gear wise. I have pretty standard range gear (black d hide, rune c bow) and have about 5m to spend, though i hope to spend less. If I could get either some good strategies or a good, up to date guide, that would be awesome.

For your stats melee beats range (as usual for mains).

Try meleeing in Bandos or barrows, regular slayer gear but with more defence. Ranging works in black hide, you can use a shield for tanking. Either way keep your prayer bonus at 15-20 to be safe, a soul wars cape works well.

In your inventory, take boost potions for one hour, with prayer potions for one hour (praying protect + eagle eye or piety, about 15), and the rest a healing special weapon and rocktail.

I assume you will be ranging everything in the cave (Melee is actually a lot faster but it might not be a good idea if it's your first attempt) so just use the best offensive range top (I you'd like I can lend you an ACP  ) and verac's skirt (cheap, nice defense/prayer bonus)

While most guides would suggest using diamond bolts (e) against Jad you can easily beat the entire cave with broad bolts. And it's a whole inventory slot which you can use for something else. Just be sure to bring enough bolts with you.

Inventory should be about 1 super restore per 2.5 to 3 brews and enhanced excalibur (The 200 LP and defence boost every 5 minutes is incredibly handy)

You can bring a couple of ranging potions if you want, but I've personally never bothered as the boost gets reset when you drink a sara brew.

Good luck!

Ok, gear sounds pretty good. Ill range it since I feel more comfortable with that. I dont have my EE yet (few more levels, mostly firemaking) but I can grind those out first if need be. Now what about actually doing the waves?

I'm pretty sure you can find a guide in AoW that tells you exactly what to do and what the different monsters are.

There are a couple of safespots for the 180's (going to call them by their combat levels as their names are too difficult to remember :P) in the caves but I'll leave you to find them. You can also trap the 180s behind other monsters which might be easier if you are in the centre of the cave.

If you make sure you pray magic from wave 31 and stay out of the 360s' melee range, trap 180s and kill 22s and 90s before the 360s you should be able to make it to Jad without taking too much damage.
