August 14, 201114 yr So many people without a clue posting in this thread. Jagex is scarce to even admit there is a "bot problem," for they're fersure not going to come out and talk about it in an interview. If asked, they'll merely reply with a canned answer akin to "We are taking the problem very seriously." I think interviewing either Andrew or Paul would be a waste-- they've been around long enough that they are adept in evading questions and replying with cryptic answers. And if you don't know who Chris L is, you're obviously new to the scene. Andrew's interviews were always pretty honest. If we had something along the lines of this Q and A, i would be very happy (quick find code 13-14-751-60323588). Sadly Andrew hides in the bowels beneath Jagex and rarely pays attention to what goes on above him.As far as I know, he just does engine development upgrades and really doesn't interact much with the other teams. So, yeah. He may or may not answer honestly, but I don't think he really knows much either way. I think he'd be honest, but wouldn't have much insight . I'm like a hot mess, but without the alcohol.
August 14, 201114 yr Mod Chris L, Mod Ash. No other developer interests me. Grimy Bunyip has a nice post somewhere about content developers and what they're doing behind the scenes that is a great read.
August 18, 201114 yr Tempted to change my choice to Mod Nexus because he seems hell bent on trying to turn RuneScape into something just to make money - see BXPW's and this "get a friend to join" thing - and I wana know why... Also the fact that I wana throttle him might play into this, but I don't think it's an IRL sit down in a meeting, interview with them... Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
August 18, 201114 yr Mod Fonso just to get my friend un-banned from High level forums rofl
