It's not as if this is AIM or IRC where you have to be instant, the very least you could do is copy and paste your post into Word and take 30 seconds to do a spell check. On topic, Firefox, having a single-digit percent market share, has almost no spyware or malicious programs written to exploit it. In other words, with Internet Explorer, you're more likely to get spyware and such. And, it would be helpful if you told us of these mystical "poping questions" you speak of, as that would help us ascertain whether or not you are getting errors or if they're just routine warnings. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. Vape
Go into your norton Firewall preferences and under programs make sure that Mozilla Firefox is always allowed access. If you keep getting alerts, make sure you check the box that says "remember my choice" or whatever. As for why firefox is better than IE - here's a quote: ActiveX and OS inegration make IE an easy target for virusses and spyware. Firefox, however, does not allow AcitiveX to run :) Firefox also has an excellent history of patching security exploits in the browser, wheras Microsoft has often left known security holes in their browser for months on end. Most likely, however, you don't want to hear technical waffle and statistics, you just want the web to work, and as Firefox is streamlined and user friendly, it'll do just that. It's a tiny download (5 MB,) installation takes seconds and it automtically imports your favorites and settings from IE *thumbs up* Once you're off and browsing, be amazed by the simplicity of the default theme, (or download other themes to make it look however you like) and marvel at the beauty of tabed browsing - keep your taskbar tidy and save your PC's RAM for other more important things. Are you perhaps sick and tired of popup windows getting through IE's popup blocker? Firefox's is far more advanced. Want a special feature that you think might be useful? Install extensions. Check your gmail/yahoo mail automatically, show the weather in your status bar or automatically download all the links on a page - with extensions it's all possible, but only if you want it. I could go on for a while here ;) Just download it and try it, if you don't like it you can just uninstall and continue using IE as per normal. If you have any questions, please feel free to post back here :D But yeah, as you stated earlier, playing Runescape in Firefox isn't very good (see the sticky.) This is Jagex's fault and unfortunately you just have to use their windows client until they fix it :( Where the bloody hell are you?

I believe the poster is the former. And, that aside, even if he wasn't an English speaker, he could have pasted his post, like I said, into a program with a spellchecker and it probably would have caught most of his errors. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. Sorry to disagree with you albosky, English isn't my main language and, infact, I never took real classes on it. But I always try to do my best on my posts, I use punctuation and spend some time thinking of what to type. I agree with BTTF, there's a big difference between a "lazy English native and a struggling person whose second language is English". ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me
Albosky
Both of you have obviously completely missed the POINT of my post . Either post a solution to the guys problem , or move on with your life and go browse another thread . Policing other users content and grammar is just a waste of space and quite frankly , its not your job in life, also no furthur need to reply here , the question was answered. Vape
blah then mybe i will just use iexplore like before :?Why specifically? I always find it useful to understand why users don't want to use Firefox. If it's because Runescape doesn't work particularly well in it - it's quite easy for you to have Firefox running for web browsing and use Jagex's Windows client for playing Runescape - I know a number of people that do it :) Where the bloody hell are you? What does Firefox have to do with playing WoW? From your posts, you main complaints seem to involve Runescape's music not working and Norton's firewall popping up alerts about Firefox. The first problem can be fixed by using the Windows client. The second can be fixed by telling Norton to always allow Firefox. Once you get Firefox, try downloading Adblock and the adblock filter updater. These two plugins for Firefox block most advertising on the net.
