Ross Zook Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Hi. I'm level 63 magic, 43 hp, and 31 defence. I want to defensively cast at castle wars but I'm unsure of what spells I should be using. My net worth is about 16m. I wear infinity with a magic book and master wand so I have fairy high offensive magic stats. Mini_Spawn Posted August 11, 2011 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Chaos runes will be more cost effective but slower xp/hr. Bloods/deaths will be higher xp/hr but cost more gp/xp. I'm not sure I'd use defensive casting at castle wars as a reliable source of magic training. there's little return for your rune costs and no guarantees on xp/hr because everyone you attack will have a different magic level/defence bonus. Then defensively barrage people in soul wars for zeal and mage/def exp. Trolling by giving good advice since April 2011. Once you reach 65 magic, switch to water wave etc. I would highly recommend doing some out-of-CW training to get at least 30k dungeoneering tokens and level 70 dungeoneering (arcane stream necklace for +15% magic damage). Getting either god spells with charge (300 lp base max, one target, lowers some stats, can't use damage-boosting staff unless you use a void mace) or ice burst (220 lp base max, up to 9 targets, freezes for 10 seconds, also comes with blood burst) would be very beneficial to you.
