jddogg
So would it be a complete idiotic waste to do ranging/slayer for bxpw? I dont see anyone talk about doing melee stats at all just seeing if theres some reason behind that specifically?
AHappySeeker
Training buyables compounds the time spent making the money as well as the time spent actuating the xp. Training non-buyables only compounds xp gaining time.
fudrick
It's because most people would rather do buyable skills to save money or slow/boring skills to reduce future boredom. If you think about it logically, excluding bought skills it doesn't matter which skill you choose to train. 2.7x exp means 2.7x the speed no matter what, you save the same amount of time regardless of which skill you choose. Kimberly
Melee stats are already so easy and fast to train with relatively no cost associated with it, that most people focus on other buyables or extremely click-intensive skills. Personally its up to you & depends what your stats currently are whether or not you value range&slay exp more than any other things you could train. Yeah i'm completely poor right now so the whole buyables deal is out of the question for me.

This is not true at all. Refer to my explanation and Jagex's explanation of why summoning was nerfed.
fudrick
This is not true at all. Refer to my explanation and Jagex's explanation of why summoning was nerfed. Summoning was nerfed because the bulk of time spent on it is collecting charms, and one could stock up on charms and then use them all on the weekend for a massive EXP boost. For all non-buyable skills (which is what I said, if you would actually read and not jump to conclusions), the time saved is the same. Training for 30 minutes at 2.7x exp saves 51 minutes for all skills, it does not matter what skill you choose.
AHappySeeker
K, I actually read your post wrong. I should go to bed. Sorry.
fudrick
K, I actually read your post wrong. I should go to bed. Sorry. It's alright, happens to everyone sometimes. As a matter of fact it just happened to me in another topic on this exact board, but a mod deleted the post I think. And if I seemed a bit rude in my response, it wasn't out of any real animosity toward you; being accused of being wrong about something when I know I'm correct is just one of my biggest pet peeves, lol.
