An interesting self portrait.. interpretations seeked.

Hey.

Below is a self portrait; thrown together almost half-heartedly. Though, looking back after its completion, I found it quite profound in its suggestion of my most intimate feelings.

My interpretation is that it reflects my mind's feeling of disconnection with the rest of my body, or self, during moments of longing, wonder, and transcedence.

As my lower body seems to sit astute, the head is alone with a look of stoicism, almost perhaps.. surrendered?

I don't know, what do you all think? Is my appreciation worthy of more than my own connection--considering it is my own work--or is there something universal many others can see and feel?

Oh yea, definately. It's a really simple picture, I wouldn't say it is very impressive by any means. I just thought what it represents seems kind of interesting, almost more so in the look on my face and all.

I know exactly how you feel, I get that feeling all the time with my music. But I think it comes down to the fact that everyone interprets art in their own way based on their own life experiences. Two people watching the same movie, for example, may get two completely different things out of it than what the director or writer had originally intended. That's the beauty of art I think. There is no one way of interpretation, a lot of people look at it in black in white i.e. whether a piece is visually appealing or not, but some delve further and some delve too far.
