Deletion
Hi there, I already own two firecapes, so I have a little experience in the Fight caves. However I haven't done it in quite a long time (If I had to guess ~2 years). I recently got even a Tzhaar task and decided to take the Fight Cave option. Since I already have two firecapes I'm not overly worried if I fail so I thought it would be a good option to try meleeing the caves as I heard it can be done in around 40 minutes. So I was just wondering if anyone can give me a good strategy, and gear and invent setups for meleeing the entire caves. I realise I will have to kite the 360's which I am fine with. But a general outline would be good. Like is it best to trap to 180's, kill prioritizing etc. i would also like to know the best method for actually killing Jad, I've done a little research and it seems like kill him until he's near half health the claw/veng him out before the healers have a chance to heal him, but I'm unsure if this is right? and how about up till this point? I should still be able to prayer swap alright but alot of people mention just tanking him? I have access to Bandos, Claws, EEE, and the other recommended slayer gear (Fury, serker (i), barrows gloves etc). My relevant stats:99 attack, strength, range, magic, hp.95 prayer96 herblore74 defence So hence I have access to Ovls and Turm, which I assume will make this easier? Thanks in advance :)
Powerfrog
Just wear your offensive melee gear, except ironically, swap the firecape for a SW cape. You didn't mention your chaotics, but rapier is best. Kill priority should be all things that can damage you (rangers, 22s, 45s) then whatever you're praying against, and finally whatever you have trapped. It's a great idea to trap 180s behind the 360s as it takes very little effort, although you could probably just tank them and SS heal any damage lost. Oh. SS heal like crazy. Whenever theres not a mage on you, you should have SS on. Flick Pmelee/SS the melee guys if you find yourself taking damage. Inventory should be 2 ovls, 10 brews, veng runes, claws, 12 super restores. Remember you can sip an ovl at the bank before running in, for a free 4:50 of boosted stats at the start (As well as a free 500hp healed later that you probably won't need :P) Rapier jad while just protecting from melee, unless you're very confident of your multitasking, and reveng when needed, claw just as the healers show up. He should go down in no time at all. (If he combos you with none melee attacks, prioritise healing before dealing damage.) You shouldn't need half of those brews, but they're good to have incase you mess up kiting or mess up on jad.
Deletion
Thanks for the advice, that sounds great. And yes I have all chaotics and assumed rapier was best. Would this be any different for meleeing off task? Also, you're just saying tank Jads attackd? I didn't think it would be possible to out-heal a couple of unlucky hits. Thanks again. JPMC Mate
Yeah, Rapier is best for Fight Caves. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
