ventuzz
I had been reading about many stories about people getting scammed in vary ways. The main reason I have noticed those who get scammed easily was people quickly change the value to less number or change item and click accept, then as the same time clicking accept "Doh!" Then I came up with crazy idea, some may won't like it, but it should work great. The wait time in trading, let's say a 5 seconds wait (maybe display a progess bar with timer on it) so trader can observe the things they are trading and making change in it are impossible UNLESS they hit "Stop" or "Cancel" button. They can either try again do it right, or run-away with no scam. Will the wait time in the trading reduce scammers? Hacked 10 years old account, permamently quit if Jagex doesn't return items. Toxicologist
It won't, because those people who get scammed are simply too careless. A second trade screen is already enough of a protection: even if you add a five second time limit, they would simply be annoyed and rant at JAGeX for the wasting of their time. And those who are wary enough won't get scammed either way. Why do you resist? ventuzz
Ah yes, you are right, second screen are there for protection. But it's possible to put in the wait time for another protection, to give them a third look. Maybe a wait forcing player to glance at screen for a while to pay attention? Toxicologist
They would just get more mad that JAGeX wasted their time, and become even more careless. Why do you resist? qwerty4242
This has been suggested before and it just won't work. People who get scammed, get scammed because they are in too much of a hurry to do a trade. Making them wait will only frustrate them and make them click on the accept button constantly until the trade is accepted. There is absolutely no way to force these kinds of people to look at the second screen. They are careless and will continue to be careless no matter what is added to the game. SirHartlar
Exactly what Toxic said. If people are stupid enough not to check the second screen, it's there fault if they get scammed. You could always take five extra seconds yourself to check what you're getting.
