Agen
Is it virtually the same as Frost Dragons without the cannon and swapping out neitz for FSH and Soul Wars cape for Firecape? (This is for slayer tasks btw) Frost dragons I bring max str w/ soulwars cape and pray mage w/ appropriate potions. EDIT: Simple yes/no would suffice. no w/ corrections would be better if indeed that's the answer. Goals for 2012:Quest CapeMAX

Powerfrog
It's better to wear magic defense gear and pray melee. Use a rapier and dragon defender with super antifires. A 15 dragon task should only take about 10-15 minutes if maxed, easily done in one trip with an inventory of prayer pots, some emergency food and a uni and soulsplit flicking for healing. Quyneax
For a slayer task there are two options: Max strength gear with protect mage like you suggested and magic with Storm of Armadyl. Tanking melee attacks is only viable when on task and ss flashing. Aten
Yes, but no (max strength means dfs but ddef > dfs). Pray mage, the melee hits are easily tankable, bring korasi spec and ss flash the damage off. Wear a fire cape, tasks are so short you only use a few ppots anyways. Alternatively as Quyneax said you can bring virtus and SOA them. It's faster than using rapier. Pray range while standing at a distance and ss flash damage off as before.
