Blutters
How do the different magic damage boosts add together? Arcane StreamChaotic Staff4 pieces of HybridMagic Focus ScrollI hit 520, MAYBE 547 with Ice Barrage. If that's 15 + 20 + 12+ 21=68% saying Ice Barrage should only hit 504... Those hits were in Soul Wars and Castle Wars (not vs flagbearer). How do they work when applied to a multitarget spell? I've heard that only the central target has the bonuses applied at it, but I wasn't sure if this was for all of the bonuses. Also how much higher does Polypore hit? I was wondering if it would be better to Ice Barrage groups and Polypore single targets.
JeRambo
I think I've maxed with polypore staff at around 534? With +135 Magic attack / 28% magic damage and using wolper. Not sure if relevant to thread :) "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones. enfield
You have to multiply a bunch of things together. The sum of your equipment bonuses is one thing. The levels you are above your base level * 1.03 ( capped at 1.21) is another, as is the hex crest, for which the multiplier is 7/6. And maybe there's some rounding that goes on (for example with the 7/6, and the final result). Try calculating this way and see what you get. Blutters
548, if you mean 1.35x1.21x1.12(Hybrid)x300That actually sounds right lol
enfield
oh hybrid. i didn't read your post carefully .. ummmm isn't the set equip. bonus a 13% boost? or 10% without hood? (for battlemage/trickster), and wouldn't that add on to the 35% equipment bonus multiplier? additionally any hybrid set gives a novel multiplier of 1.15 (15%). but okay, you only have 4 pieces. I don't see how you are getting the 1.12 from the hybrid.
Blutters
They're 3% per piece and the bonus to damage is invisible, I just followed what you said for the other things... I really have no idea how Hybrid is added so this was more of a guess. I was hoping someone could confirm.
Sir_Squab
Idk how Hybrid works, but you generally calculate Magic Damage by (Magic Damage % Bonus) X (3 X magic level boost) Adding Hybrid, you'd multiply the amountuh, damage without Hybrid with the boost hybrid gives. Dunno if you'd multiply for each Hybrid piece of multiply your hit by the total % boost Hybrid adds. Honestly, the best way to figure out Magic Damage is look at the % boosts to damage you get, and start adding and multiplying them until you get something that's consistent with what you hit and what it says. EDIT: Fixed up my post because I realized it's probably not as clear as it could be. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them meBuying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupineThe only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it. Grimy_Bunyip
rounddown(rounddown(rounddown(rounddown(Damage*equipment multiplier)*level multiplier)*Slayer/Cwars Multiplier)*Glacor/Ice Strykewyrm Multiplier +80)I'm almost 100% positive the glacor multiplier comes after the slayer one.And I'd be fairly confident to say that either the cwars multiplier is the same as the slayer multiplier, or it's the same and it doesn't matter.equipment multiplier goes before level multiplier though.I'm not sure if obliv has that documented, but it's been shown by a number of people. enfield
oh so the rounding works like that. The order of the multipliers only matter due to the rounding, which is probably means order matters only very slightly. do you know what place the numbers are rounded to at each step?
