Leoo
I have never used fighting familiars and was wondering if anyone could give some advice in terms of using fighting familiars for Slayer tasks. Are they worth the replacement of healing/BoB familiars? Do they sufficiently speed up tasks? I'm currently 80 Summoning and not sure if my level is high enough to be considering this. Thanks in advance!
Aiel
The lowest combat familiar worth using are the elemental titans at 79, so yes they are. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Sir_Squab
Tbh, if you have level 80 summon, just use one of the elemental titans everywhere. Healing/combat familiar ftw. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them meBuying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupineThe only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it. Farm
Healing ones are good but none are going to significantly speed up task until you hit iron/steel titan. Geyser titan isn't bad either, I usually choose it over a bunyip/uni when it's in a multicombat area.
Quyneax
Familiars for damage output (on anything except ganodermics) go as:Steel titan with scrolls > iron titan with scrolls > kyatt with scrolls (extremely costly) > steel titan > iron titan = wolpertinger > geyser titan > spirit dagannoth Approximately anyways. Basically, the first two are worth using, and the familiars without scrolls, but not the kyatt due to the 1-2k per scroll. Bxpprod
Once you have access, I'd fully recommend utilising combat familiars. Admittedly, I was using Iron and later Steel Titans (scrolls), but the damage output sped up tasks a significant amount. On tasks such as Dust Devils (in CT), I was able to lure 4 monsters, kill two myself and my titan two and repeat in time for next spawn of four. Lower level familars won't have such a large affect, but the damage increase and subsequent decrease in task length (read: time) allows for improved exp rates. Especially if your other combat stats are lower as well. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
