Neohero1972
Hi Is it still possible to fish barehanded (barbarian style) while carrying a harpoon in the toolbelt ? I'd like to know before I add one to my toolbelt ! Adventurer's Log for Neohero1972
Quyneax
I believe barehanded harpooning takes priority over regular harpooning, so if you want to avoid strength xp gains you shouldn't add the harpoon. Sy_Accursed
Yeah at the moment if you can barehand fish you do that rather than normal fishing.; though Jagex have acknowledged this isn't ideal; so presumably some sort of ammendment will come at a later date. (probably when they figure out how to add butterfly net as that needs to be togglable) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Neohero1972
Hi Thank you for the answer guys - as I read the answer from both of you; it is safe to add the harpoon to the Toolbelt as I would still be able to fish barehanded. (probably when they figure out how to add butterfly net as that needs to be togglable) Eventhough I like the Toolbelt I think it constitute a work-in-progress for Jagex. (Warning: semi rant !) I also think that this Army Swiss knife-Jack of all trades Toolbelt makes skilling a bit too easy - maybe a number of different kinds (one for farming, another one for fishing, a third for hunters etc.) of toolbelts would have been more appropriate... That's nonsense. The big 2, as it were, of mine and wc you'll take gear for anyway as bronze sucks.Fishing had all weildable/bare-handed choices anyway.Hunter sod all is actually on the belt. All the rest it merely makes a difference of 1 inventory slot.Only exception is farming and we had all them items stored at every plot by the leprechauns anyway. Tools that cost 2gp from stores are hardly what made skills easy or hard; the hard bit is the time consumed and the resources needed etc. etc. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Troacctid
To clarify, barehand fishing is the default if you have the level for it, but if you're carrying an actual harpoon, you'll use that instead.
