Hello, I've recently gotten back into slayer and I'm starting up again, and these problems have been bugging me for awhile

 

I just got a lava monster task (i took the 280 challenge) because i do need a fire cape, but I've never done Jad before, so I need to know a set up/inventory/methods for Jad, a video and maybe some suggestions would be very nice!

 

I'm still rebuilding my cash stack from 99 herblore, but i need more gear, but i can only afford tassets/bcp as of now, but i have a torso, should i go ahead and buy tassets and wait for my cash to go back up ~20m? or should i buy them separately?

 

I'm also saving for turmoil, which would come first? gear or turmoil?

 

I've been 10 tasks dry for effigies, is there anything that prohibits effigy drops? or am I extremely unlucky?

 

Also, I'm trying to get my summoning up some more, is there anything else I can do besides hoard charms/bork? should I stop using my joat/penguins/ect on runecrafting and move it over to summoning, or should i just stick with runecrafting? All my target levels are 99, so I'm really not sure

 

I'll add more if i think of any.

1. Although the Guide is severely outdated, Muggiwhplar's guide still works. I still use that guide to this date. You can replace Crystal Bow for Rune Crossbow with Broad bolts or Better and any shield.

 

2. Buy what seperately? You only mentioned Tassets

 

3. I have never gotten a Effigy on task, so it's normal.

 

4. I'd go Turmoil, it has longer lasting impact than Gear, and is more pratical in general.

 

5. Personally I won't do either, because I enjoy some RC'ing and can fund Summoning. If I was forced to, I'd do Summoning, unless you already have enough charms hoarded for your desired level.

Turmoil before gear always. Buy tassets before bcp since you have torso. You're mainly unlucky with effigies, but be sure you're using a good task list. Triple charms (Familiarization reward) helps a ton in levelling summoning.

 

If you haven't done Jad before I strongly recommend magic. With full ganodermic + either pps or Storm of Armadyl, you will be hit only by the 90s (who die in 1-2 hits anyway). Jad himself will have a tough time killing you as you'll have a neat 45-50% mage soak, enough to take his 990 max down to about 550.

you're right, I'm actually concerned with using the right gear, use the ganodermic hat thing? or use the slayer helmet?

Slayer helmet every time. There isn't a single thing you should be using any helmet other than the full slayer helmet on when it is assigned as task.

 

Unless you're 70 attack and it's Dharokable and you can't afford strength-boosting chest+legs or it's undead. But that doesn't apply to you.
