Best Skill to Obtain (F2P)

Hmmmm... Lotta replies. Yes, I used to love to mine, but I didn't do that much of it.. I have 67 mining as well as woodcutting. i guess fishing is off the list. That makes things a lot better. I also like gop, 10k tokens is a mill in water tallys. Gop'n to 99 Rc? That could take forever....

I like the 99 Mining idea, but that's long as well. Still I'm going to consider it. DEFINATELY not going with cowhides. They suck, and that's that. 67 Mining or gop'n will give me 3x as much any day.

I would " just pay the 5 bucks" but considering it's 7.99 for membership cards? I wanna get some good skills and do some research before I get mems.

Thanks guys! I guess gop'n and Mining are my best bets. I'm the noob here, I'm just givin' you guys feedback. I'd love to here what else you guys can come up with! I'd really love to know.

Pker.

What's in bold is what I'm trying to do right now. I wanna have noncombat statsu to 35+, combat stats 40+, and a decent amount of cash before I even think about trying to start members. Oh, and I want to do most of the F2P quests.

If you want to get a taste of the F2P game you should play F2P, but if you are eventually going to get P2P anyway and you just want to 'train up a bit' you should realize the training is faster in P2P regardless of level.

As I can see I'm not going to argue with a Mod, of course you're probably going to know more than me.. But I'm going to put this into a question. What if the player isn't that familiar with the game? Doesn't know best training methods, and doesn't have help, why waste the money trying to get familiar in P2P with low skills? That's what happened to me when I first got mems.. I didn't read anything on it, eventually not getting anything out of mems.

I suggest reading some beginners' P2P guides and train up a bit to get familiar, because who wants to waste money?

Any comments or advice?

Well, here's a few things to do.

1. Join a clan with some members in it. A nice, laid-back one. They'll be able to tell you about anything you want to know in the member's game, and also about good ways to train. (My clan did exactly that for me).

2. Browse RS Wiki, and click on anything that looks interesting. You'll get a general feel for some of the member's game.

3. When you get members, do the gnome quests. They're pretty low levelled, but they unlock spirit trees and gnome gliders, which effectively unlocks acess to the majority of member's land.

Finally, for me membership allows me to have more fun. F2P is so limited that it's never a waste of money in my perspective, and in the perspective of most people around here.

I'm not an efficienado.

Because getting familiar with the F2P game isn't going to help you nearly as much in the P2P game ;). They are quite different, mainly in the gp gain department (gp gain can be 10x as high for P2P ignoring merchanting/staking), xp gain (depending on skill, also 10x as fast) and in simple things such as agility/run energy + teleport jewellery making it much easier to get anywhere.
