Now I wish to add some variation and use my PPS/arcane stream combo :P. I'm wondering what a good/the best setup would be? - I wish to earn a profit killing them though. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Quyneax Posted January 10, 2012 Share Posted January 10, 2012 The best setup would be virtus, arcane spirit shield and such. Just keep boosting magic attack and damage. Without Virtus, you have ganodermic and Ahrim's. Ahrim's has 2 less magic attack per piece, but ganodermic must be entirely replaced when it degrades, unlike Ahrim's. If you don't have soul split, ganodermic may be worth it, but if you do I would go with Ahrim's. The massive magic defence of ganodermic is the only real advantage for the cost. Storm of Armadyl is a lot better than polypore staff damage-wise, but leech magic doesn't work with it currently - you need to give up soul split for augury or lose a chunk of accuracy. Storm is also quite expensive and provides a lot more experience. To profit, you simply have to pick up the rune items - miths drop rune battleaxes and other items very commonly. Bones will add a lot of gp as well. Bars probably aren't worth banking. Powerfrog Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Ganodermic is not cost effective. Use Ahrims, pray range, and take some food. (until you get SS) I recommend maxing magic offense and ignoring defense (Most offensive magic items will give a decent defense anyway.) Miths aren't really amazing profit. (Well i've done 10 hours and got dfh, so like 5.5m/hour, but that's luck :D) And there are much better things to kill for profit, such as weaker dragons.
