February 3, 201214 yr You can roll with whatever troops you want really, scouts are just the easiest to kill and rangers are easiest to use. The whole factor of getting rank comes with how many turns the game goes. If I remember right there has to be 7 turns (from one person I think, so 14 total. Don't quote me on that.) to gain rank.
