stlboy07
So I just got these guys as a slayer task (96 of them)... And shoot I had never even heard of them until now! I see they are mage based, so my question is will it be better to just wear some d' hide and bring food? or just take prayer pots and pray magic for the task?? Or if there are better ways to attack them or different armor I am not aware of??
Zeno
You can find the bestiary entry here for information. You must use magic or it will take ages to kill them, and many supplies. so I'd recommend getting mage gear and what ever spell you're going to use and use pray magic against them also, if you're wondering, the polypore dungeon is located behind the duel arena bank on a small connected island next to the mage training arena Stats[hide][/hide]Click for my adventurer's log
stlboy07
Ahhh I should'y melee them??
Zeno
No, don't melee them because it causes 0-2 damage per attack, and they have some special attack that will constantly hit you, same goes for range brief summary: mage them. Dusk Souls
All the creatures in the polypore dungeon are all but immune to melee and magic, so yes mage them.
stlboy07
Okie Dokie... well what is a good set-up for mage bonus that is relatively cheap?? right now i'm wearing re d' hide legs and body, glory ammy, mith RFD gloves, and dragon boots. Should I change anything out, add anything, etc...? You want to maximize your magic attack, not defence. Full slayer helm, glory, mystic top, mystic bottom, mystic boots, rfd gloves, unholy book, mage arena cape, and your best staff. Ideally, you might want to skip the task since they suck. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
stlboy07
Well i would skip the task but I'm like 2 tasks away from having 400 pts so I can make a slayer helm =(... I have black mask though, and i'll look into the rest of the set-up! thanks!
