stlboy07
Hey everyone! So I got Iron dragons for a slayer task for the first time. I understand that the metal drags are weak to mage, but I was wondering, at 70 magic, would it be too slow for me to mage them or should I just stick with the good old fashion melee attack?? If mage is the case, what should be my setup? preferably a cheaper route. And if Melee is the case, what should be my setup there? Right now I have Slayer helm, torags body/legs, warrior ring, combat bracelet/ or mith rfd gloves, and dragon boots. only about 5 mil to work with atm!! And thanks to all your help in advanced! Jeit_Thorne
your best bet would be to mage them. Once higher attack it'll be perfectly viable to hit them with a stabbing weapon, but as it is I would recommend maging with fire bolt with chaos gauntlets equipped. Setup with max mage attack gear anti-fire shield and bring some antifire potions, you won't take any damage, no prayer required as long as you stay out of the dragons melee range. The_Fray
Skip the task, they arent worth doing at your levels.
Quyneax
Skip if you can spare the points, but don't block just yet. At 80 magic with a polypore staff, an arcane stream necklace and Vecna's skull (total under 2m gp and 30k dungeoneering tokens) I'd say they would be barely worth doing, but they only really become worth it at 95+ magic with Storm of Armadyl (if you're using a cannon-based task list).
