FPS / Ping

hey guys

 

so here's the thing: i've been having an awful lot of lags and thought b4 i can change anything, i need to know what it is..

sooo, how do i check my fps and ping? when im in the "chose-world-menue" there is a little "-" in the last column. for every world... so this doesnt tell much.

 

i know how to access the "developers-console" (§) but don't know how to continue ^^

 

i play with a macbook pro:

2.2 ghz inter core 2 duo processor

2gb 667 mhz DDR2 SDRAM

and a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 128 M graphics card..

 

shouldnt that be enought?

Open dev consolde, type displayfps and hit enter

 

Also at least a part of the lag is probably jagex' side.

Dachef, your system is more than strong enough to normally hit ~30 fps max, possibly more. Problem is, since the release of the Dominion Tower, many have been trapped and thoroughly unable to hit more than ~5 fps to ~10 fps at any given time. So the fault is more than likely not yours at all. Jagex has a massive problem they haven't fixed yet, and it's even hurting F2P. :geek:

Sorry for the late reply. My computer got stolen....

I know have a new one. and in my eyes its pretty badass =)

 

I did get the display and am now at 50 fps (guess thats the max, isnt it?)

So I dont complain anymore =)

Yes sir, 50 fps is max for runescape. Be happy that you are among the lucky that gets max. :)
