Okay so I have 78 (about to be 79) magic and I'm looking for at least 94 to pk but would also like a skill cape that I'm not embarrassed to wear! approximentally how many casts/how much money would get me 79-94 bursting OR 79-94 bursting and then 94-99 barraging? any help is great! thanks!

As it stands, you shouldn't be ashamed to wear any skill cape. Also, your question right now is not that easy to answer since we have no idea what kind of gear you'll be wearing. Willing to pray/pot/use degradables?

 

I can't really answer many combat questions, but give us an idea and some of the experienced fighters can surely give you a good estimate.

I'm not too sure how accurate the following statement is, but i'm bursting from 80 - 94 myself and i went on the assumption that i would be getting 250 exp/cast on average. I did a few calculations and this seems to be relatively alright to use for gross error.

So if each cast gets you 250 exp and you need about 5m exp for 94 Magic, then you're looking around the region of 20k bursts. Chances are though, it's going to be closer to 18k

getting battle robes from FOG in combo with SOL is very helpfull. the numbers from above sound right to me. with BR and SOl, cut the numbers and time in half (not counting time for getting robes).

in the long run definatly barrage. and at i think 88 mage u can use shadow barrage? not 100% sure on that though but its also usefull. jsut lots more expensive
