Moarmurdah
I have been switching back and forth lately from combat to mage and im noticing that raising mage is wayyyyy easier than combat. Is this normal? is it just me? Im working on hitting 40 attack for rune ( I know im still new and low =/) but its taking forever. And mage is just like a cake walk. Any opinions? Naive
Magic is trained more easily because magic spells have a base experience, along with experience for damage, whereas range and melee only get trained by actually dealing damage. Calypsan
If it makes you feel any better; I've been around about five or six years and my attack is 37.I've noticed this as well. I almost never use magic because runes seem so costly to me, and I'm something like a level 28? Meanwhile it takes forever for me to gain attack. Outside of the idea that magic is just simpler, is it maybe got to do with weapons? I feel like lately I've been raising my attack and defense more because I've been using my clan vexilium as my weapon as opposed to a scimi or a longsword. I don't understand any of this stuff lol I'm such a nob. ETA - Thanks Naive!
Quyneax
Attack xp gain depends on your strength level, magic xp gain depends on your magic level. Magic xp gain also doesn't depend on equipment much, as there are quite a few monsters extremely weak to magic (and only 2 item slots can increase max hit). Plus the base xp, as Naive mentioned.
