I have two problems atm which have been plaguing me for a while...

one is my runescape ping. Whenever i am logged into lobby, or game, i can never see game ping, which is very annoying when i am trying to choose a good world for bossing.. I use a mac to play rs, and i know 1-2 other friends have had a problem with ping also, can anyone suggest possible fixes ect?

 

my second problem is loading runescape pages of any sort. For over 2 months, when i try to load runescape main page, the forums, the game ect, it will not load quickly, taking hours to properly load them, if at all... this is incredibly annoying and i would like to find some fix to it... only runescape client loads fast, and i have no idea why things load or don't load, i never used to have such trouble loading runescape. Any tips/tricks?

Issue 1 - runescape client does not do ping.

tried using a browser based window, it didn't work either.... ah well

aerendil/meamzed, would you please provide the following info? :huh:

 

• Other Browsers that you have...
  
• Your Current Java Version...
  
• Anything else you can get in the way of diagnostic information...

Without this, we're going to have an awful time debugging your issue and helping you at least make some kind of repairs against the problem(s) that you have. :(

OSX doesn't support ping. It needs privileged access which the client doesn't request for good reason (windows doesn't have this same problem because its not considered privileged to perform a ping). A work around if you are technical enough and can open the console/terminal is to use the ping command "ping worldX.runescape.com" should give you some data about latency time. Interpreting it all is not as simple, and I don't have an offhand set of options to just give you latency connection times.
