VampMN
Right now, I have a promethium platebody and a shadow silk hood bound. I'm thinking it might be better to unbind the body, and replace it with a promethium 2h. I will have to have the sword made if I do switch, as my smithing is only 83. JeRambo
Of course you need a weapon bind! Break hood for Promethium 2h. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones.
VampMN
I'm really rather fond of my hood, though. I was thinking that with my defence, maybe I could be okay without a bound body.
Sir_Squab
Definitely need a weapon bound. I'd personally keep hood over plate, so break plate. From what I've heard from high level DG'ers, hood vs plate is a matter of personal preference. Keep in mind tho that if you eventually get 100dg, plate is easier to get back. It's also easier to break the prom plate for a prom 2h, then if you feel like you need the def you can later break the hood for the prom plate. Don't give up DG slayer drops easily. The only thing harder to replace then a hood is probably a hex and blood necklace. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. Deletion
Hood vs Body is a matter of preference in my opinion. However, when used correctly it is generally regarded that primal and prom plates are better than a hood. However, we don't know how useful every bind will be in EoC so I would keep the relatively rare hood over the plate and bind a prom 2h.
VampMN
Thanks for all the responses. I think I'm going to go ahead and unbind the body, and bind the 2h. I appreciate all the ideas. They have been very helpful.
