Best fight caves method for me?

Featured Replies

Well I keep being pestered to get a fire cape as I should have one considering my stats, thought I'd give it a go very soon and so I'm wondering which method is best for my stats..

cmb: 126

att: 92

str:93

def:92

range: 91

mage: 91

hp: 97

So far I've looked at a few guides and it seems my options are..

1) Range & guthans, though this seems to be more of a lower level option?

2) Purely range using rune bolts/broad bolts and diamond(e) on jad, I'd wear armadyls.

3) Gano and polypore method, though I don't have the herb level for extreme pots.

any advice folks?

I've got slightly lower levels than you and I've tried options 2 and 3, but with royal dhide instead of arma, and supers instead of extremes. You should be fine with either method... I personally preferred PPS+Gano but it's a bit more expensive. The main thing really is to avoid panicking and/or messing up too many prayer switches at Jad. Might take a few tries before you get the hang of it, would recommend watching some YouTube vids to familiarise yourself with his attacks.

Good luck! :)

Cheers buddy I'm going with the gano method. Just wondering what did you use in your shield slot? I don't have any of the dungeoneering 200k shields and I have other items I want to spend the tokens on. I was considering dragonfire but it gives a negative mage bonus, I could use my zammy book but I'm a tad worried my set-up leaves me pretty vulnerable to the rangers.

I used ahrims with mystic boots illum zammy book/blessed ss switch for rangers pps/ee and brought a vecna skull and a Mage pot for jad and only died cause I have a really bad system/lag with less defence/Mage/hp lvls than you

You can also use a BSS or a Granite Shield to boost your ranged defense if you want.

I'm hardly one to recommend "safe" methods, but I'll give it a shot.

Melee everything except the 360s and Jad, kill them with storm of armadyl.

If you can afford bandos, use it for melee. Otherwise, just use proselyte or cheap barrows armor. Mage in ahrim's (notice how I didn't say gano).

I assume you can figure out the basics: dragon defender, arcane stream, fury, etc.

Your inventory should be mostly prayer potions (10 or so? maybe 15). Bring 2 super atts and strs, and a magic potion or two. Bringing an Enhanced Excalibur would be a good idea. Fill the rest of your inv with sharks, I guess.

I'd say Option 3. With Flasks ofcourse. Also, a Vecna's Skull would help alot. I use that method for when I do Jad for slayer tasks, It usually takes 1 hour.
