Merely curious, but does Nex's recently-updated prayer switching negate the effects of the royal crossbow? I noticed that in the TMHT event post for Nex, it clearly states no royal crossbow, hence my wondering. I don't have the gear (or melee stats or summoning level) for Nex so it's not like I'm able to try :P!

As far as I know, the royal crossbow damage is range based, so it's blocked by the prayers. :P

I said no Royal Crossbows for the event because the lock on takes time to occur, and once it does, the phase is over, so you lose it when killing the minion. :(

Alright, so does that mean the royal crossbow is still effective in smaller teams? I don't know how Nex's new prayer mechanic works...

Yeah, although teams don't generally allow it, as it still loses focus on the minions, and again if she uses range deflect. :(

And from what I know, she now has the ability to use deflect range for one minute, so you're forced to melee in that time.

If her deflect ranged is on and your crossbow's bleed effect kicks in, you'll be hit for 200+ damage repeatedly. Unless you can predict when she's going to activate her prayer, using the royal crossbow is strongly discouraged.
