October 16, 201213 yr Just got 95 summoning last night before the announcement of double xp working for summoning. So with only needing 5500 crimsons to 99 with double xp I want to spend some time gathering charms. Wondering what through best setup is. I have overloads ss/turmoil. goliaths and full void+deflector. I don't have a chaotic maul though. Melee are 91 92 91 95hp. 95 mage. Should be everything that is relevant. October 16, 201213 yr Void with deflector and goliaths should do just fine. The only disadvantage is that you have to spec a lot more (since you can't store scrolls in helm), so bring some summoning flasks. Praying SS+turm for the whole time will keep your HP up just fine. Consider bringing EE as well to counter the ovl damage, as I'm not sure what other spec weapon you can take that's effective against WFS. LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS SEASON. October 16, 201213 yr Author Would I setup with neiz helm and say karils work better? Quest Cape Achieved on November 14, 2007Items AcquiredCrystal Pick and HatchetBerzerker Ring x 33/28 Barrows Items
October 16, 201213 yr I'd suggest maybe ganodermic + neiz helm, that's what I did. And be prepared early on during the super aggressive time that they might hit you pretty hard. I'd think void is better for accuracy + dmg boost though. If you're on task definitely fsh + gano. :) Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
October 16, 201213 yr To be honest, gano isn't needed at all (and only increases the cost). Royal d'hide does the job just fine, along with praying SS. But yeah, I would think void is better for the increased accuracy and damage boost. LIVERPOOL WILL WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS SEASON. October 17, 201213 yr Author For future reference wear karils I got destroyed in void. Quest Cape Achieved on November 14, 2007Items AcquiredCrystal Pick and HatchetBerzerker Ring x 33/28 Barrows Items
October 17, 201213 yr Author Anyone have an idea if bringing dreadnips is worth it. Seems to me I could hit one once and set a nip and move onto the next one. Quest Cape Achieved on November 14, 2007Items AcquiredCrystal Pick and HatchetBerzerker Ring x 33/28 Barrows Items
October 18, 201213 yr Dreadnips aren't worth it. The extra effort and concentration required to effectively use them for what is at best <1% overall time saved including earning the nips. It's just pointless. Claws are accurate, at least to the point 1 claw spec is worth a lot more than 1 goliath punch, and EEE is really unnecessary. Soulsplit makes it easy to survive. You could even use bandos (Probably have to flick protect/soulsplit while they're aggressive) but again it's probably not worth the sheer effort and concentration. Just use void.
October 18, 201213 yr Author Dreadnips aren't worth it they don't hit often enough. And like I said I found wearing void I often was getting piled to hard. Karils is definitely the way to go with 90s melees. Maybe with maxed melees void would work. There's no reason to use karils Oh and btw, use extremes. No real reason to overload.
