October 20, 201213 yr Hey guys, I'm currently trying to complete the elder kiln. I'm at the stage where I have to protect the ga'al guy from all the others, and am finding it really difficult. Either he dies, or I die. I always manage to take out the mage but then I struggle to keep up with the rest of them. Am I just not high enough level in combat? I'm 79 Atk/81 Str/87 Def/70 Prayer. I've been using Torag's, the obsidian shield and an abyssal whip. Thanks!

Are you using super potion set, prayer, a healing familiar or a beast of burden and full inventory of high level food such as rocktails?When the fight starts, only attack the monsters who target the Ga'al(or you) and use protection prayers accordingly. It's best to leave the others alone and let them damage each other and finish them off only after they attack you.

I've been trying to buy super strength potions for almost a week but no-one on the GE seems to be selling them. I might end up making them myself just to try and get this done.

October 23, 201213 yr I did it with about 85 melees and 80 range, no familiar although I actually wore Guthans which helped a bit tbh. Bonfire bonus and rocktails are always good.I waited right at the edge of the map each spawn and took them out 1 by 1 as they just wander if they can't see you. Make use of the barriers to trap the monsters and you can trap and be safe from mage/range behind the double height barriers. I used an 'L' shaped one (can't remember which direction but opposite the entrance tunnel). Range the mages and pray mage, they melee too if your directly next to them. 99: Agility 28/12/14|Thieving 20/03/15
