Wanting to Return - Need Advice

Featured Replies

Hello.

It's been a long time since I've played the game. I use to play pretty actively up until the time the GE came out. However, I've wanted to get back into playing so that when I'm bored at work, I'll have something to do (my work PC is pretty crappy).

Since I've always had members when I played, I checked my email and the last time I found a worldpay receipt was 2007. From talking on IRC (irc.efnet.org - #runescape), I've learned that they've started instituting new security measures like registered emails and whatnot. I tried the last known password I've used for the account and it doesn't work. I've tried to do the password recovery and it asks for my email address. I've tried all 4 emails I've used in the last 10-15 years and I keep getting told that none of them are valid.

I made another account so I could post to the forums but it hasn't gotten me anywhere so far. I made a two posts in the 'hijacker has set a registered password' and 'I've forgotten my password' threads but I haven't seen any kind of reply back from Jagex in my email or the user panel for the forums. I've tried emailing as well to no avail (only email that I found that would go through was [email protected]).

I was wondering if any of you have encountered a similar issue. If so, was it resolved and what did you have to do to get your account back? Any suggestions on someone I can talk to or post that I'll get an actual reply? I don't know if I'm being ignored or what.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to get back in and do more skilling.

Thanks,

It usually takes a while for Jagex to get back to you on customer support. How long ago did you email them?

Last time I had troubles accessing my account I emailed "[email protected]" and got a reply in under 2 hours.

Explain to them your problem is and they should point you in the right direction ^^

(After sending the email you will recieve a automatic response but the actual tech support should respond soon after)

Good luck!
