TzTok-Jad's healers question

Featured Replies

hey all,

Anyone know how far away would I have to lure the healers from Jad for them to stop healing him?

Also, during my last attempt, I managed to let the healers heal Jad fully (don't ask...), and when I killed the healers (all 4), and attacked jad, they respawned at half health (naturally). My question is: if I left one of them alive in that scenario, would they respawn?

Lastly, if the healers do not respawn in the above scenario, would I be able to deal enough damage to outpace the lone healer? (assuming 99 magic with polypore staff).

I want to say that if they get him back up to full health before you kill them they respawn. You don't really need to lure them but a few spaces away from Jad for them to stop healing him constantly. They might heal him occasionally, but you can easily outhit that. To answer your second question, I honestly do not know, but I would bet that the other three would respawn. As for the third question, you should be able to outhit it, but it would make the fight much longer. Just use ganodermic and tank the single (or all four) healer(s).

Yeah, I did try using the Ganodermics, but eventually I had to resort to prayer switching, RNG wasn't nice to me yesterday, and I had no experience with the healers post update, jad managed to wear me out (down 3 flasks of brews and 10 rocktails)

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend trying to tank Jad in ganodermic. If you don't want to kill all of the healers, you can try to line them up so only one is attacking you, or you can get them stuck behind one of the walls depending on where Jad spawns.

You should probably lure all healers and then focus on Jad again.

One good option is to use blood barrage - that way the healers damage wont probably make you eat, because you get the healing from the hits you do on Jad.

Definitely learn how to switch properly, it will help you a lot if you ever decide to do Kiln. It's worth mentioning that I did Jad 12 times before I got my first Fire cape... But I learnt to switch and thanks to that on my first 3 ever Kiln runs I got cape + 2 x gem, because I took the time to learn switching instead of just tanking in Gano. If you don't learn how to switch, you are gonna have a nasty time in kiln.

Oh I know how to switch, I have several fire capes from before Ganodermics. I wanted to try ganodermics this time since it's my first time trying Jad with the new healer mechanics, thinking it might be the 'safe' side. Turns out it's probably not so true :P

I was kind of afraid that i wouldn't be able to lure the healers far away enough to stop them from healing.

Although this adds another question, can blocked healers heal, or must the healer able to attack in order to heal?

As long as you hit each of the healers once, they will be focusing on you, not healing Jad and you're good to go.

I thought they updated the healers to be able to heal jad and attack you?

When I was last there like 5 days ago, as soon as I made healers aggro on me. They stopped healing Jad.
