So basically this is what happened. I have used swiftkit for years and had NO problems. All of a sudden yesterday, I go to play and I receive this.

So I let it restart and I get this

After getting this, I completely remove SK from my computer, and try reinstalling only to get this picture

zlib.dll

Then I would get this aswell

I have tried reinstalling, Disabling firewalls, Disabling all security, restarting my computer, even a system restore to a previous working date. none of it worked. I do not have malwarebites either so Idk what to do. Please help. I also Ran everything as an admin.

you need to right click the installer and go run as Admin once it is install you need to then do the same with the swiftkit icon

im pretty sure the problem is zlib.dll but Im not certain

When it freezes on zib like that the installer is finalizing the install there's a slight bug where it doesn't update the progress bar correctly.

So is SwiftKit accessible at all? even with the may not have installed correctly message.

anyone helping?

Bit wanna be mod-ish but: spamming replies every few minutes will not help you.

Firstly it breaks forum rules

Secondly it is irritating and comes off as pushy which is likely to make people unwilling to aid you.

Thirdly it won't make anything happen faster, Swiftkit staff are all voluntary workers and they will check this forum as and when they are online and try to help if they can.

If you want to add extra info to a post use the edit button, don't spam replies. If no-one has replied be patient, I know it may be frustrating but it's not like it stops you playing rs entirely, you could use the main website or the Jagex client whilst you wait.

Stev, that is if you request help from Strider. Simmo has offered to do the remote support, so there is no need to email Strider.

I have updated the page to better reflect the situation.

Logged on with Carsong. Had some weird permissions problems. SwiftKit was failing to update/replace the SwiftKit[Caution: Executable File] file.

So it downloaded the update, unpacked it, deleted the old one and then tried to copy across the new one. Failing, leaving no SwiftKit[Caution: Executable File] file in the program files SwiftKit folder.

Manually copied the unpacked swiftkit[Caution: Executable File] from the tempdata folder.
