Problem with iPhone 5 adverts on my Google Chrome

Well, the hovertext of that pop up says "Click to Continue > by Deals Plugin".

I'd assume you installed a plugin that gives you ads.

Go to tools->extensions and see if there is anything there matching "Deals Plugin" or that you don't recognize.

Yeah seems liks you have installed a plugin either unintentionally or possibly u meant to but it turn out to be a spam plug in that is creating these.

Thank you very much! I've sorted it now, but just for future reference, what is this 'Deals Plugin'

and how did I get it (possibly) like, you wouldn't know exactly but what are the possible ways of me accidentally getting it? :S

I'm so tech-impaired, sorry.

Possibly you went to an website that sent one of those missing plug-in bars and you thought it was flash or w/e and just clicked yes.

Or you installed a 'spam' plugin - these are ones that purport to be something useful (like a toolbar or w/e) but actually install these kind of ad delivery plug ins.

Could've come with a program that you recently installed? I know a lot of people get these annoying toolbars and ads by clicking next-next-next when they install programs without really looking at what's going on in the dialog. If this type of thing returns, I suggest a scan with your antivirus to make sure your computer isn't infected.
