sol and dfs

so since the release of EOC, can a player not wield the sol and dfs anymore or am i doing something wrong.

and i guess whats the set up for metal dragons now, i use to mage them with sol and dfs.

Staves are 2h now.

You'll need to use some tier of wand in conjunction with a Dragonfire shield now, Grifolic is reasonably cheap but they do get quite expensive. However there are three types of dragonfire shield in the game now and you'll want to use the Dragonfire shield (magic) if you don't want to have an accuracy penalty.

 

Not sure how viable using a staff with regular antifires is now.

Right now it's hard to buy any wand better than Grifolic without spending literally millions
