Combat Meta?

What's the combat meta these days? I wanna see which of my accounts are now worthless, lol.

If you mean which styles are used most often, it's pretty even atm, but most runes (especially chaos and deaths), as well as most 1h melee/ranged weapons have taken a literal nosedive. 2h Weapons are generally the way to go. ABS is still quite valuable, Wands and Books didn't exist pre-eoc.

 

Nex gear have taken a big hit, So did GWD gear, although the latter are recovering atm. AGS has taken a nose dive.

 

Can't really say much else that has changed...

I mean stats-wise. Which stats dominate the environment now.

 

Like, which types of characters fair well.

Not everyone is 200 combat. I'm talking about pures, zerkers, rune pures, range tanks, obby maulers, ancient pures, void rushers.

What is useless, what is not. Just saying they're equal sounds so suspicious.

Rushing is pretty much gone. Overloads are now allowed in PvP, prayer/constitution doesn't contribute to combat level, the highest stat out of attack/strength/magic/ranged/summoning now contributes to your combat level. This means: 99 hp/pray, overloads and all your damage stats equal is now good. Defence is the only real variable.

 

Zerkers are still good but should get 99 attack if not already.

If your rune pure literally wants to use rune, 50 def is needed, but otherwise they work fine.

Obby maulers would have a problem with lacking abilities at 1 attack, and health at 1 defence.

1 def pures don't have a lot of health now, around 4000-4500 at 99 con I think, which means they can be 1-shot much more easily (max hit for 99 dps stat/overloads/prayers is 3k+ I'm pretty sure).
