Archangelx
As the title suggests, the elite Desert Task (and PoP Lacquer goods!), have pushed Thieving to be the next skill I'm focusing on. 1) So, is Pyramid Plunder still the best? And taken from the Tip It Guide, is the following still accurate: "As your thieving level increases, the best technique is to search for snakes, then loot the urns in the last two rooms you can access. Opening the sarcophagus will slow you down during your run and is not recommended when training." 2) And finally, any idea on estimated time to complete 14 levels? Thanks in advance! Quyneax
1) No. Monkey Knife Fighters are better. PP however awards Black Ibis and Sceptre of the Gods and many people find it less annoying. The best is to loot all urns in the final two rooms, as well as grand gold chests you can get in one tick, while running past. 2) Count on 20 hours for 3m xp. Are Monkey Knife Fighters better even past 91 thieving, or only before that?
Quyneax
Afaik duo PP with Sceptre is better than MKF, but that's hard to get. Dwarven traders are good, maybe better, too, especially with the thieving aura, but less so without, unless you have Ibis. In the end not many people do MKF so I'm not too sure on the long-term xp rates :P. Barney.S
MKF are are very hard to do consistently. You can do PP semi-afk as well, so I would definetly reccomend that. Use a pharao sceptre, w64 and you can easily expect 130k+ xp/h even while watching shows. IMO PP is a bit of a pain until you get to lvl 81, so tough it up until then - it gets easier. I did it very quickly on my way to all 90+ while watching Dexter. Thieving became one of my favourite skills. Of course, don't expect black ibis clothing. In lvling 73-90 i got 1 piece of boots at lvl 88 or sth. All in all, I would definitely reccomend PP, because decent xp rates are easy to maintain, as opposed to MKF (carpa tunnel hello!)
