i am working on desert elite tasks, since this one the only task left for me so i got to kill sunfreet on hard version and he is the only special boss left for me...

 

 

i am into melee more than range and mage and for sunfreet as i know u need either mage or range but idont have armour or weapons for that

 

i wanna buy either mage or rage..

 

my question is which is better or hits harder mage or range and what items need to buy ? i got both 99s

I found Sunfreet pretty easy with Ahrim's and an Armadyl Battlestaff. I don't know how well range performs; if it's similarly accurate, it's probably the better choice.

Mage is the better choice assuming he hasn't been patched as melee + range both have the damage cap of 500. So BF barrage + mage gear should do well, poly/SoL or better. Or ahrims wand I guess.
