Dual Spell Wields + Accuracy Q.

Hey all, the following topic stems from the below quote taken from the recent updates:

We've also implemented full dual-wielding capabilities for magic users, meaning that you can now auto-cast a different spell from each hand: just right-click the spell's icon to find the option. Have fun coming up with cruel cocktails of Ancient spells to blast and debilitate your foes! You can also wield magic-oriented weapons alongside cross-class weapons. You could wield a crossbow and a book, a wand and an off-hand sword, or any other combination you can come up with.

1) Trouble is, I don't see any option to select an off-hand weapon cast. Clicking Auto-cast only keeps saying "main-hand spell set to..." What am I missing here?

2) On a related note, what's the best off-hand mage weapon? Ankhs went from being nerfed to cosmetic, as is the Mage's Book, which provide no bonuses.

3) So I'm assuming accuracy for an off-hand, different style to your primary, combo, will still be severely affected by the armour you wear? So, aside from the hybrid armours you get from mini-games, what other hybrid armour is there, to help with the combo styles?

Cheers, and thanks in advance.

The first two, I rightly have no clue.

The last one, I believe the only non-cosmetic/minigame armor that suits all styles would be the void sets.

But one thing to note is, the only thing that affects accuracy for your combat styles armor wise, is your shield(if you dual wield no need to worry about this), torso, and legs.

Therefore you could essentially go 50/50 and sacrifice accuracy for two styles, making them equivalent by wearing, say a ranged top and mage bottom.

I hope that helps.

You can use void armour or obsidian armour as hybrid, but obsidian still has the triple damage taken so it's not very nice at all.

The best off-hand magic weapon would be the virtus book.

To set a spell as off-hand autocast, you must have an off-hand magic weapon equipped. Then simply set the spell as autocast.

Yea, I guess that sacrifice needs to be made at this point...

Hm, could have sworn when I tried with the Mage's book yesterday, the options didn't appear when I selected autocast. Guess I was wrong, as I get a dialogue box asking for it now.

Heh, thanks Galco, Quyneax.
