Theiving chests mechanics - Specifically ardy upstairs?

Featured Replies

Hey so I've been looting the nature rune chest while alching for some extra xp/gp...

I notice sometimes when a bot fails the chest will spit out poison damaging everyone, and often the bots die because of it...

So how do i make it poison? Every time i do it it just damages me once and nobody dies...

It's a random event specific to thieving chests.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

So it's not triggered by attempting to open the chest naturally? It just happens when you're normally checking chest for traps?

Seems like a rather cruel random event if it's attacking everyone....and there's no warning to it...

An old player from 2004-2011. I'm back for the 2007 servers, let's see how long this lasts.

Stupid Should Hurt

Well it just does damage, but doesn't actually leave a lasting poison.
