willyhenriksen Posted February 12, 2006 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Background story: father took a script on a disc from this computer to his computer at work, he found out that this computer has a VERY heavy virus on it and Norton antivirus is out of date because we havent paied, therefor i need a free downloading anti-virus program. please help. Theres a reason why you have to keep paying for those updates.... no one does free, updated antivirus software because theres no money in it.... Try using spybot, its meant mainly for getting rid of spyware but also points out stuff which has virus characteristics for deletion. If you can get your computer online you can try performing an online scan: http://users.pandora.be/educypedia/comp ... evirus.htm But you're unlikely to find a very good, downloadable and free program for antivirus duty, its either the last two or the first two, not all three....
