I wouldn't go with mcafee or norton, try and find a good personal firewall on the internet. You do get what you pay for. If you are not worried about what people might find on your pc then there is no point getting a firewall. That is my theory.

As far as I was aware, intel have made core 2's for laptops, or are making them, so I would wait till laptops are available with core 2's and get one of those. Also, i prefer fnw over alienware. I don't know if the alienware if dual core or not, if it isn't then fnw is the way to go :P

yes, that is the flash game you are using from another website, it is not actually hosting the game down your end, but simply acts as a kind of relay, taking bandwidth from the source with no source of profit. You cannot actually host your own game.

doing news scripts can be hard or easy. If you want to make it difficult for you to update news items but easier to code, just hard code the news items using html. If you want it harder to code (if you don't know php) but want it easier to insert stuff, learn php and you can make a program for updating news.

if you wann a start making a game like runescape you need to learn java, but that takes a long time and is not an easy language, but it is the best one to start on programming wise.

If you are getting those speakers you might wanna get a sound card :P. I don't know if onboard ones would even support 5.1

or just go to start>run and type in dxdiag, then go to the sound section and it'll tell you what your soundcard is.

Have you done all necessary steps to resolve the conflict? as in, gone to the network connections, right click the network connection and go to properties, go to the internet protocol and click properties, do this on your pc and laptop, and make sure they are not both on the same ip. If they are on auto-detect ip, go to the command prompt and bring up your ip address, and type that into your ip slot for the pc, and then for the laptop type in the same ip except for the last number where you make it one higher.

A good community is where people that are new are seen as "needing help" instead of "being crap". Once that is achieved, your community will prosper, with the teachings the high levellers pass down. I also see a good community as a place where trading is not full of people trying to scam etc.

In my opinion, visual basic is not a very good programming language, if you want to start actual programming, the best place to learn is java, then move onto harder things like c, c++ etc if that is what you plan to do.
