Ok, I want to know the amount it will take to persuade you into: 1. Buying an AMD processor and 2. Building your own PC. 1.The AMD processors are much better than intel ones unless you plan to compile movies. If you want, just take a look at processor benchmarks around the internet, you won't find many that show Intel being better than AMD at something. 2. Building your own PC, you can learn tonnes of new things about PC's you never knew before, you can be more confident about opening one up, and you can take your time building it. If you are only 16-17 that leaves you plenty of time to plan what you need to build it, don't worry, getting it wrong is better than getting it right, as long as you come to us with what you might be getting wrong first, then we can help you. However, if you do really want an intel, then you might as well get that laptop. What difference will it make?
