Come talk to me when you range backwards. ;) Things like that happen all the time, it just matters what your character was "focused" on when the animation takes place. A neat trick to show how this works is: Go to the Brimhaven agility arena, and right before you go into one of the dart traps, click on an obstacle in the opposite direction you're about to go.
