Shades of morttan temple build+ an easy 200k
maveritchell replied to NeoFire's topic in General Discussion
It's so hard to get on, in fact, that more people get on that world in any given day than any other. :? -
Maybe you don't seek help or advice, but likewise maybe you should seek out the search button, I hear it helps you find pages, just like this one that talk about the exact same thing. Savvy?

Until next week, right? And the week after that, and... Perhaps the updates truly are bad, and I'm just blind, but you say that, or something like it, after pretty much every update. Regardless, I liked this update. It was short, fun, and introduced some interesting scenery. I view it kind of on par with Devious Minds, which was also just short and fun despite its requirements. I also liked ME2, cause it was hard and long. I also liked Forgettable Tale, cause it had an interesting puzzle. What're you gonna do... just appreciate each update for what it is, there is some good in all of them.

Not in polar coordinates, sucka! This statement exists.

Champion Scrolls, can you have more than one at a time?
maveritchell replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Discussion
As soon as you hand in your challenge ticket, you'll have a banner posted in the champions' arena denoting your victory. Or perhaps it's there already. Either way, you can just turn in the ticket, save your bank space, and you've still got a record of your triumphs in the arena itself. -
that happened to me when i got a frog  got turned into one without the chance to talk to the princess :P Of course, promiscuous frogs are somewhat less lethal than a level-159 magic-weilding chicken of ill repute.

I rescind what I said, now I deem it pronounced "Princess Angelina Contessa Luisa Francesca Bananafana Fofesca the Third." Sounds like "dot." I still love you, dictionary. Really.

Champion Scrolls, can you have more than one at a time?
maveritchell replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Discussion
Not two at the same time, they've not. They've had more than one champion scroll, but only after they've defeated the first champion. -
cant believe how far kids go nowadays!

Lol, here's one: I was selling some runes, and someone offered a, well, pretty decent price for them. By which I mean somewhere in the neighborhood of 10% higher than I asked. Ok, so whatever. Meet in Edgeville? Ok, you got it. *Tick, tock* Time goes by. Then I knew exactly what was going on. (Thank you Tip.It!) I messaged him, asked where he was. "I'm at the top of Oziach's hut, come meet me here." Lol. At least try and make it seem like you're not trying to lure me. "Sure, ok, I'll be there, just give me a sec." I walk into the bank, deposit all my items and runes I'm trying to sell, pot up, and put a dds in my invo. I walk out to him. "Howdy" You are frozen and unable to move! Big surprise, lol. They should see the next act. So, of course, in comes a my-level ancienter in mystic (sweet, he's got no defense!). In he charges with a dragon scim, and as soon as he gets within striking distance, I put on steel skin and protect prayer. Bam. The dagger is equipped. "Don't attack him!" the would-be-"buyer" says to his friend. Spec. Spec. Spec. Spec. I messaged him simply with a "Nice try, and try buying your runes next time." -
Champion Scrolls, can you have more than one at a time?
maveritchell replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Discussion
I would say no. Reason being, if you speak to the referee/gatekeeper, what-have-you that moderates the champions' arena after you win your challenge, he will take your ticket from you. I'd suggest you talk to him again, let him take your challenge, and get back to killing those [insert challenge race here]. -
What would be truly helpful in your guide would be a currency conversion. And kwim, just FYI Trading Sticks are tradeable as well.
-
Look at it this way, how long would it take for you to stop paying and playing if they said they'd never update again? For me, it'd probably be quite a while. I think it'd be darn funny if they waited until February 28, and then released one mega-updateapalooza.

..."or when it sounds like science, as in 'science' and 'science.'" Yeah, there are exceptions to every rule, lol. The rule really pertains to when the two are joined together in one syllable, whereas in science the syllable splits i-e... but the rule doesn't make that very clear.

Bubsa Sings RuneScape: What happened next
maveritchell replied to Bubsa's topic in General Discussion
Neato, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the "Rock Star" line. Maybe: "...Hey now, you're an archer, get your arrows, go, slay, Hey now, you're a hybrid, wear your black hides, go, pray, And all that..." -
Ar-dong? Ahh-Drog-Aknee? Ar-Dong-Ee? Ar-De-Gone? Ard-rouge? Where are you guys even getting some of those letters? I can see the Arr-Dug-Nee pronunciations, ok, so you spoke it phonetically. I can see the Arr-Doon-Ye, so you spoke it like you were speaking Spanish. Strictly speaking, English-wise, it should be Arr-Doon. Ar- Like a pirate! Dougne- Like Frank Herbert. -Gn makes the "N" sound, like in "Gnu." -E on the end makes it sound like "Ne." -Dou, in English, when followed by a consonant sound, makes the "Doo" sound. Ar- Should be self explanatory Phonetically spelled Ardoone.

OMG!!! Seriously! You have a possible answer! Ok, they say that "fans of dragon weapons" should go to this new monster... not exactly that there's a new d weapon or anything like that.... We could get lvl 4 clues that give dragon stuff!!! This is certainly a possiblility.... I mean it's never been thought Jagex would actually make lvl 4 clues... but if they actually do, this huge-leveled monster and all the new clues would explain it, eh? :? hahaha i hadn't even thought of it that way, but you're right :P Those clues would never make it out of the wilderness intact; there's a good chance that for a great while, the person who originally gets a drop from the wildy monster won't be the one to take it out of the wilderness. If the drop were a level 4 clue, as soon as he died, so too would the clue die.

reign. That rule does not quite work i like thieving its ok, better when you could wear armor not get hit and run away and back, no hits down and you waste same amount of time as if getting stunned. 69 thieving helps on master farmers quite well tho "...or when it sounds like 'a,' as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh.'" I think the system itself is fine, there just aren't as many tangible rewards as... nearly every other skill.

Sideways? Come talk to me when you range backwards. ;) Things like that happen all the time, it just matters what your character was "focused" on when the animation takes place. A neat trick to show how this works is: Go to the Brimhaven agility arena, and right before you go into one of the dart traps, click on an obstacle in the opposite direction you're about to go. You'll go through the trap (and the animation in slow-mo) backwards.

Jagex updated hi scores page again!
maveritchell replied to Heath_at_UK's topic in General Discussion
They obviously took it away from the highscores so they could give it to the new monster, which will subsequently drop it upon death. Which, based on the amount of pkers, looters, and the like that will be interfering with the act of killing it, should be somewhere around a week after it's released. -
Straight from the Help and Advice board, here are some tips for making guides like this: A) Don't TYPE IN CAPS, it's quite a STRAIN ON THE EYES. B) Do check, prior to making a guide, the quality of the guide on the site you're submitting one to. Tip.It has the most comprehensive Barrows guide I've found anywhere, thanks to a wealth of experience from its many contributors. C) Don't call the people you're posting a guide for "noobs." I hear that irritates people. D) Make sure your logs go to the "Rate This, Achievements and Goals" board. And just FYI, you left off prayer, which along with magic and range, is one of the only vital Barrows stats.

how many trips was it before you got your first barrow item
maveritchell replied to lukerwood's topic in General Discussion
First day, 2nd or 4th trip I got Guthan plate. Course, since then, I've only gotten about 4 or 5 more drops, so, yeah. -
What'dya thing Jagex really implemented agility shortcuts for? Yeah, it's sad, and you often have to just let it roll off your back. But keep in mind, one or two of those "griefers" may be someone just confused about how the game works- they're not fully aware of what is/is not expected in terms of asking for favors; they don't realize the status quo on earning money; they don't realize (fully) that other characters are real people. Every blue moon, you'll help one of them, and they'll end up being an ok guy. I've done it a coupl'a times, and now there are a couple still on my friends list.

Just one last thought, or question, really, of mine: If a monster/beast/player is in a multicombat area, and two other players are in a nonmulticombat area, could the two in the nonmulti area cast spells and hit the m/b/p in the multi area?

Guide to 1-Item objects (ed. Jul 2006) (AOW Discussion)
maveritchell replied to DragnFly's topic in General Guides
A couple of clarifications: For some reason, if you've got DFire shields in your bank, the Duke will still give you one, as long as your inventory is empty of them. The magic whistle can be obtained multiple times from the Draynor Manor spawn during the quest, although I have no idea if they can be after the quest. (But my wager would be on yes.) The tiny teleport crystal can be obtained as many times as you want (not stackable) from drops, regardless of whether there are any in your inventory/bank.
