I just made my first shaded sig after reading a tutorial.

 

 

 

It also says that I should ask for help and advices from others.

 

 

 

So, can any1 point out a few things that should be changed?

the shields looks like it is bending inwards not autwards and the floor is verry plain and the briks could do with some texture but nice character looks cool and abit draker imo i think would be nicer

the reason for the shield to be so high, is that i made the character holding a halberd, but it tourned out to be to high. The man got to small holding a long halberd when its gonna fit 300X150... il try yo fix the shield...

the shield still looks liek its bending in and the floor is the same i think and the original picture has expired

Make the shield sideways so you can see the rest of his arm, otherwise hes holding it awkward. I wouldnt hold a shield like that. The eye has no sclera (white part of the eye).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i like the body, the whip is nice too. The dragon is good but something about it ruins the sig for me. take out the text, you ruined the sig with it. Instead put it as a quote neatly toward the bottom left with your name on the bottom right corner. make a shadow on the ground by his feet and establish a more "Cavish" lightsource in the cave.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

brown part of the sign should be shaded as well, dont think you can get away without shading it. Make the string darker, nothing should be that bright in a cave unless its a light source. (same with the walls, cape, and pretty much everything else thats bright)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is just to make it look more realistic, dont follow it if you dont want to. what you need to do is take out the text and fix the shield and youll be in buisness. Thanks.

When I first looked at it.. I thought the "give me you key" was kinda lame.. and it still is.. Dude your sig would be a lot better with out it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think it looks very good apart from the text. Lower the shield more though.. Especially with a square it looks weird to hold it high.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He has a good body(not like that, eww).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

overall 6/10. that is pretty good since I would consider mixter to be like 9/10
