January 17, 201412 yr Hey guys, quick warning for you all who post here: Remember how Tip.It got it's database hacked a while back? Well, I think whoever did it either gave the email's away or is now using them to hack into accounts - make sure you have a secure email preferably with 2-auth protection. I was hacked by someone I'm fairly certain at the very least browses this forum, probably using it, since they mentioned that they saw my good drops, which I've only ever posted here. I'm about to lose probably 100m or so from my e-mail getting hacked due to crappy security measures on it. Use me as an example. Secure your email, change your email to a more secure one if the one you have is weak. Thanks guys. January 17, 201412 yr Yeah, unfortunately the information from back then was made public. It's not impossible that those responsible were also forum users here, but unlikely since there were specific individuals at the time that targeted multiple fansites back then. If you email [email protected] and provide information that proves ownership you might get a fast response and your account locked down.

So I'm a bit boned unless a JMod contacts me, since they can't tell if I'm the real owner or not. January 17, 201412 yr Just one person? Ha.Everyone and their son could find the database with plaintext passwords online in five minutes of Googling. A warning is always needed though. Never use the same password twice, don't use your real life information online, have separate unconnected email accounts for serious stuff, real life stuff and web forums, enable JAG, the basics, simple, yet so many people choose to ignore them.
