Rinc3Wind
I am 2% away from unlocking the loop so I have a couple of questions on what to do. First, my current crew is5 Combat5 Morale5 Seafaring4 Oxheads3 Judge of Dice3 Merchants2 morale captains, 2 seafaring captains, 1 combat captainAll my crew is level 10I have all the stainless steel ship parts unlocked. I have all the port upgrades unlocked. My primary goal is to farm trade goods. But I'm willing to put that on hold till I have gathered enough resources to form a good crew and have good ships. So my questions are:1) In which order should I upgrade my ships?2) What kind of crew should I get when going into the loop? And also the shield?3) What port upgrades should I have active?4) Any other tips?
Saradomin_Mage
For the Loop, I believe you want to work towards 665 MCS, 1 wisp, 4 TCM, 3 JoD. Wisp is used for any seafaring double, but can also be used on single stat seafaring missions to hit the speed cap. If you have the cherrywood and jade you spare, you could build one or two cherry trees, which will boost your resources earned by 4% and 7% respectively. Great for collecting terracotta and later azure. You'd want to switch back to Jade statues at endgame, though, so I'd only advise this if you already had the resources to spare. Upgrades for loop are probably rudder first, and then blackwater hull, deck items, figurehead. Fire your oxheads first when the opportunity arises to replace them with Loop crew. Fire your basic pincers crew after that. Terracotta merchant replacing Jade merchant is a bigger upgrade to morale than Party animal replacing Travelling band. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Quyneax
The wisp is only slightly useful, so don't go saving terracotta just to get one. In the Shield, all you have to do is replace basic crew with better basic crew, JoD with Exile, and that wisp with basic crew, if you got one. Saradomin_Mage
No captain tips :P assuming you only have 10k captains, you'll replace them only in the Shield. Upgrade your rudder, then your crew. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
