WiccanAssassin
I'm looking for a way to increase my FPS on RS I'm currently only getting 1-3 FPS but the Specs on my PC should be getting me atlease 20 if not 10. Also Im only about 10 feet away from the router so I know connection isnt an issue Toshiba LaptopProcessor: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20 GHzSlightly over 3GB of RAM64 Bit Operating System
Sy_Accursed
In general non-specialised gaming laptops will under perform compared to what their specs might suggest on gaming because they don't have a dedicated gpu like a decent gaming desktop does meaning the CPU is dealing with both running the functions of the game and generating the graphics which slows things down. Plus they are poor at cooling themselves leading to heat related lag. The options to improve fps are simple: 1) Turn graphics down 2) Get a better system 3) Get a better connection But overall just don't expect too much in terms of fps. My laptop runs at about 12 fps with the graphics turned down pretty low and thats with a 2.4ghz cpu and 8gb ram and a nice solid internet connection of ~10mb/s Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Sbrideau
Don't expect much of your laptop, especially if it's a 2+ year old Toshiba as they tend to overheat even when cleaned after 2 years, from my experience and from the experience of multiple other people I've known. Especially since this is a pretty old processor with even older architecture, lowering your graphics is the best bet here to increase your FPS, unless you want to change computers. Low C
Lowering the resolution might help a bit. maybe fixed at 800x600 but even that is going to be taxing to integrated graphics on older laptops. The newer laptops perform marginally better with the new chip tech but you will still struggle with fps on high resolutions.

Integrated graphics on a last gen i5. I haven't measured it but it's at least 60+ fps on my laptop for RS at highest graphics and highest anti-aliasing. Low C
Hence i said performs marginally better. I have an i3 laptop 2nd gen and it performs 20-30 fps. It just depends on what gen and chipset he goes with.
