So how do off-hand weapons work exactly?

Featured Replies

Let's say I'm holding dragon battleaxe in one hand and a dragon mace in another.

They both have totally different attacking style.

What style of melee will be used in that case?

I'm not sure on style, but I would guess it defaults to the style of the main hand weapon.  In terms of abilities, you will have access to the dual wield abilities as long as the two weapons are the same class (Melee, Ranged, Magic).

You will use the style of the main hand weapon if you are using abilities.

“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”

everything under this post are based on EoC abilities, they work different for auto attacks and I have no idea how it works in Legacy.

Most of the weapon stats, effects and such are based on the stats from your Mainhand, while your off hand mostly provides just the damage.

For example, if you equip a mainhand bronze dagger with a Drygore off hand mace, your accuracy would be based on your bronze dagger and your Drygore would provide a damage boost. If you equipped a Drygore Main hand and a bronze dagger off hand, your accuracy would then be based on your drygore, and your bronze dagger would provide only damage.

For auto attacks, each of your mainhand and off hand would work independently (ie their own respective accuracy and damage would be taken into account). For legacy, I have absolutely no idea how it works, all i know is that I think both the MH and OF are combined
