Dealing With Degradable Armors (sub 5% left)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I heard a rumor circulating that with degradeable armors (at least lvl 90) you could somehow repair them with their respective resource, or like degrade them into said resource (besides dying in the wildy) once they reached a certain % - any truth to this?

This sounds way too thoughtful of Jagex, so I doubt that it is the case.

I have 2 Malevolent and 1 Sirenic piece at like 2% armor integrity. I know it's not really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, I'm just curious.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

You can repair the t90 power armor. But first you have to add a barrows, shadow, or third age dye to it.

If you pay hundreds of million for the dye, the item is preserved and you can "repair" it into its full state with a fresh set of resources, so that it will keep its cosmetic appearance. Other than that I don't think there is any way to magic way to restore your armor. Does this sound plausibly like what you may have heard?

No actually, they are a thing released late last year with the Treasure Trail rework. There's barrows, shadow, or third-age, and you have to spend one dye per piece on the armor. The insanely rich need something to spend their money on, I suppose.

Buy new sirenic and malevolent gear. When that's degraded a bit, feed the old pieces to them.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Buy new sirenic and malevolent gear. When that's degraded a bit, feed the old pieces to them.

And that will feed the charges of the almost-dead one onto the new ones to top them off I presume? Good way to prevent yourself from suddenly having no armor  .
