The search function needs a fixing big time.

When I search for post, I have the option of seeing the post in the order of when they were posted.

 

Except it doesn't work that way at all.

 

Often on the first page I see one post from 2015, one from 2008, and on the next page there are some from 2013, that's not correct order that's just random.

 

Fix this since when I search for posts I wanna see them in the order of when they were posted.

Changes like these are not up to the tip.it team I'm afraid.

Weird, it does seem to be random. I thought maybe it was by timestamp of most recent post on threads but that seems off too. But indeed, it's probably up to IVP to fix that, not us.

It seems to sort them only on the page. So there are 20 posts per page and those 20 posts on the first page gets sorted, but all the other posts are not taken into account... rather silly indeed.

 

A way around this is to click on "advanced search" and put in the time-frame you want to search in, so that you only get the results in the specific timeframe that you want to search in.
