tell me how u can do it because i have tried a lot of thing and it doesnt work

I'm not saying this to sound rude , but if you cant get a format to work , then you shouldn't continue trying.

If you insist on pursuing this , the only option i'm going to recommend is following the directions that came with your copy of Windows and/or your PC.

It depends on what you're trying to format... I presume your hard drive.

In which case - as albosky said - you should use your windows cd, put it in the cd drive and reboot your computer. It should take you through the options for reinstalling Windows. One of which will be to choose between reformatting your drive or installing over the top of what's there.

If you are trying to format it using the Windows cd, and it is not working, try wiping it with Kill Disk first. You can get it at http://killdisk.com/. Whta is does is it completely wipes the drive. Then try to format it. This worked for me when I tried to format a disk, but it wouldnt format. I think some data was preventing it from formatting or something.

Put the Windows CD in. Restart your computer and boot from a CD and then a blue screen should come up that loads all the temp files you need. Then delete the existing partition and then install a fresh copy of windows on the unformatted partition you just whiped. As you're going through this, there's instructions on the screen that tell you how to delect it and what buttons to press, ect...

If you can't follow those steps, you should probably get a friend to do it for you instead of messing up your computer.
